Greta Thunberg Bristol mural blurred

The Google Maps Street View app has blurred a huge Greta Thunberg mural in Bristol. The blurred art can be seen at a wall belonging to The Tobacco Factory in Bristol, the United Kingdom. Artist Jody Thomas created the 15 meter (49 foot) high mural of the swedish climate activist in 2019. Despite the blur, you can see Greta keeping her head above rising sea levels.

It apparently took the artist 8 days to paint the Greta Thunberg Bristol mural. At the bottom right the artist added the hashtag #climateaction and the twitter username @gretathunberg. Thunberg has not visited the sight of the mural yet.

From this angle you can see the full image of Greta without the Google Maps Street View face blur. Larger

Streetviewfun.com has covered this exact spot in the past. The reason is that art showing John Lennon among other famous people have been featured in the past on this huge wall. Using the slider on Google Maps you can go back in time and see the other art pieces. Google Maps did not add any blur to the John Lennon art.

There is another mural of Greta Thunberg in San Francisco, but Google Maps has not yet updated images from that street.
