The city of Sedona in Arizona have very strict building regulations, so when this McDonald’s was built in 1993 they did not allow the famous bright yellow M logo. Sedona city officials thought it would intrude too much on the scenery of red rock mountains surrounding the town.

In the end they agreed to turquoise arches instead of the iconic golden arches. As a result this McDonald’s has become a tourist attraction.
