
Google Maps now displays the Gulf of America
Google Maps now shows the “Gulf of America” in place of the “Gulf of Mexico” for users on both web and mobile in the United States. It made the change after the Trump administration formally changed the name today of the body of water spanning between the eastern coast of Mexico and Florida. Google says it follows the GNIS, or Geographic Names Information System, a US database of location information. Source: The Verge

Hmm… it’s the same.
Changing the date to 2015 makes it a little less blurry, but it’s still hard to tell…
Even looking at the aerial photograph, it’s hard to tell. What is this…

By popular demand we have now updated the Top 100 of the best Google Street View images rated by visitors. This update doesn’t change too much from the last edition, but there are about 15 new images that made it to the list.
