We have disabled the rating system temporarily. Our Top 100 of the best streetviews is still available.
(We had to disable the rating system due to massive traffic to streetviewfun.com today. The server has been extremly busy, slow and more or less down a few times. The increased traffic is coming from the release of StreetView in the UK and the Netherlands. We will bring the rating system back as soon as it’s possible.)
Due to the release of streetview images in the UK and the Netherlands we are receiving massive traffic today which is making our server a little slow at times. We’re working on solving this.

Our host had to close us down for 15 minutes earlier today due to heavy traffic. Visitors apparently came here thanks to an article in todays Liberation (french newspaper) about StreetView where streetviewfun.com was mentioned. I’m sorry about this interruption and we’ll try to avoid similar problems in the future.
We’re getting a lot of traffic at the moment. The past 24 hours have been extreme, largely due to Kid wipes out on bike. Take a look if you haven’t seen it yet!
If you get any database errors you know why. That’s also why we had to remove the top 100 from the sidebar temporarily so the database will get a little less to do. You can still see the full Top 100 if you click at the button at the top right of every page.
In other site news, we have improved the Top Contributors list where members who have submitted the most StreetView sightings get listed. It’s now a Top 10 list. You can see this list at the bottom of the sidebar menu.
We’ve been in the news again. This time Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writes a long article about Google Maps Street View and Streetviewfun.com:

Streetviewfun.com is “updated daily with funny and interesting Google Map Street View photos,” according to the Web site.
Street View users submit bizarre scenes to Streetviewfun.com, which posts the images. It collects images from similar Internet tools such as Mapjack.com, iiCosmo.com, Earthmine.com and Everyscape.com, according to the Web site.
Streetviewfun.com has a top 100 list where users can find a link to a car on fire, a police car following the Google car mounted with the digital cameras and sunbathing women.
Those of you who have submitted street view sightings to streetviewfun.com now have an author page. At this page you can see all the images an author have found and som short info about the authors if they have written something in their profile.
In the sidebar of all pages you can now also see a list of contributors and how many streetviews they have submitted.
To become an author at streetviewfun.com simply register and then submit any funny street view images you find.
