Google have announced that Mexico will be the next country to get StreetView. We will cover those new images when available on Monday here on StreetViewFun.com
Latin American StreetView clone
Mapplo is the name of a streetview type of service now available in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sadly the site is not very easy to navigate, especially if you don’t understand spanish… It might cover more cities and countries, but again I don’t understand the site so.
The future of street view by Microsoft?
This is a video of how streetview can be used as a video guide to get to a destination instead of just looking at a map. Microsoft is involved in this project and I guees it might be competing with Google StreetView soon.
StreetView now available in Sweden
You can now view images from several cities in Sweden in a new similar service to Googles StreetView. Lokaldelen has created 360 degrees panorama images of a couple of cities. They have named this service Streetview. I’m not sure what Google will think of this…
Unfortunately only the main shopping streets are covered so far. I haven’t found a way to link directly to an image. This is the old town (Gamla Stan) in the capital Stockholm. Images are also available from the center of some other swedish cities like Halmstad, Helsingborg, Kalmar, Karlskrona, Lund, Malmö and Växjö.

Google StreetView comes to Poland
According to local news sources, Google is currently taking photos in Poland for it’s StreetView images.
Initially only the two largest cities will be covered by the panoramic StreetView: Warsaw and Krakow.
More on the snake man
Today The Telegraph writes about the streetview image of a guy walking down the street with a snake we posted here yesterday.
Leon Kidd, 25, who has five snakes, was photographed with his 10ft red-tailed boa Nibblez as he carried her along Clarkson Road in North Earlham, Norwich, last summer.
Nibblez?
– I take her out nearly every day in summer in Earlham Park. A lot of people are surprised, others are curious and ask if they can touch her. She loves being taken out, especially going in the grass.
