Rumors from Singapore claim that StreetView will be released in Singapore tomorrow. If that’s the case I think Google will also release more countries or areas the same day, as they usually do that.

Google takes new images from Vancouver Olympic games
Google Canada just announced they will cover more of Vancouver and Whistler ahead of the 2010 Winter Games.
Vancouver, 27 November 2009—Next week, Google will boost its Street View imagery of Canada by capturing images of the 2010 Winter Games venues in Vancouver and Whistler, including Canada Hockey Place, the Richmond Olympic Oval, the Olympic Villages, and other Games sites. This will mark the first special collection of Street View imagery in Canada.
Image-capturing will occur in parts of Greater Vancouver and Whistler the week of November 30.
Bing streetview coming soon
A car taking photos for Microsofts Bing Maps images, similar to Google StreetView, has been spotted in Vancouver, Canada today. When Bing will release images is not clear yet, but we hope it’s soon. Since they are now getting images from Vancouver, my guess is that it will be ahead of the winter Olympics in this city. I believe it will have a different name than “streetview” though.
(You can preview a very early version of it here. It was released several years ago, so the final version will surely look much better.)

Latin American StreetView clone
Mapplo is the name of a streetview type of service now available in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sadly the site is not very easy to navigate, especially if you don’t understand spanish… It might cover more cities and countries, but again I don’t understand the site so.
The future of street view by Microsoft?
This is a video of how streetview can be used as a video guide to get to a destination instead of just looking at a map. Microsoft is involved in this project and I guees it might be competing with Google StreetView soon.
StreetView now available in Sweden
You can now view images from several cities in Sweden in a new similar service to Googles StreetView. Lokaldelen has created 360 degrees panorama images of a couple of cities. They have named this service Streetview. I’m not sure what Google will think of this…
Unfortunately only the main shopping streets are covered so far. I haven’t found a way to link directly to an image. This is the old town (Gamla Stan) in the capital Stockholm. Images are also available from the center of some other swedish cities like Halmstad, Helsingborg, Kalmar, Karlskrona, Lund, Malmö and Växjö.
