That’s actually a mountain lion–they’re pretty common in Colorado. (The picture was taken in Boulder.)
Might not be a fake image, but it is a fake cat. Streetview from 2007 shows this cat in exactly the same pose as shown here, but it was not taken at the same time – the cars parked around the buildings are different and the lighting is different – cloudy as opposed to this direct sun image.
